NAIOP North Carolina Advocates on Capitol Hill

On April 29–30, 2025, members of NAIOP Charlotte joined leaders from the other two North Carolina chapters in Raleigh to advocate on behalf of the commercial real estate industry.
Following an afternoon of briefings on economic development, infrastructure, and regulatory reform, more than 50 members and legislators gathered for a legislative reception to build relationships and engage in meaningful dialogue.
A special dinner brought together NAIOP leaders and key elected officials, reinforcing NAIOP’s role as a trusted resource for policymakers. On Wednesday, members visited legislators’ offices to share specific industry talking points and priorities.
We are grateful to the following elected officials who took the time to meet with us:
Senator Phil Berger | Senator Michael Lee | Senator Dave Craven | Senator Danny Britt | Senator Steve Jarvis | Senator Chris Measmer | Senator Brad Overcash | Representative Terry Brown | Speaker Destin Hall | Representative Grant Campbell | Representative Brendan Jones | …and many others we engaged with throughout the visit.

Thank you to our featured speakers:
- Chris Chung & Michael Ebert, Economic Development Partnership of NC
- Towers Mingledorff and the Moore & Van Allen team
- Chris Millis, NC Home Builders Association
As advocates for the commercial real estate industry, we’re proud to partner in advancing key policy conversations. Special thanks to Larry Shaheen (McIntosh Law) for his leadership in organizing the event, and Madeline Keeter (REBIC) for her support throughout.
