In Memory of Chris Thomas
It is with a heavy heart that we share the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Chris Thomas, who passed away on April 29 following a brief but courageous fight with liver cancer.
Chris was a people-first leader in every sense. As a past president of NAIOP Charlotte and a steady voice in our local, state, and federal advocacy efforts, he gave generously of his time, his counsel, and his friendship. As a retail partner at Childress Klein, he built a career defined not only by his accomplishments, but by the way he lifted up everyone around him.
The contributions Chris made to our profession, our region, and our state are too many to count. The ripple effects of his loss are being felt across our industry and our community, and we know many of you are grieving alongside us.
As we process this news, we encourage you to take a moment to reflect and share your memories of Chris. Those stories help keep his spirit alive and offer comfort to those closest to him. Please keep the Thomas family in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
